I
have really enjoyed listening to The Palace Wolves.
Based
in Atlanta, Georgia, you might expect them
to have either more of a Southern Rock or a hip hop influence, and that could
not be further from the case. They remind me of my favorite Manchester bands, and a little bit
of The Cure. You can hear it in the tuning of the guitars and in the use of the
pedals. Effects aren't distracting, just effective. This music takes a hold.
I
have noticed a bit late that they are working on a new album, making this
review a bit premature, but we can always take another look.
Right
now there is an EP available, 12, and tracks can be heard via the band's
main site or through Soundcloud.
This
band is recommended.
