Eva Plays Dead is a rock band from Nottingham/Derby.
With strident guitars and raucous vocals, there is a
hard edge on the rock. It is often a good time, but it never stops being in
your face. They self-describe as "no-nonsense".
I think this is particularly evident on "We're
Gonna Make It", featuring Joe Hill of Grand Ultra. The intro vibrates with
an energy that is too strong to be called quivering, despite similarities in motion.
For those who like the energy of hardcore but not
its frequent lack of musicality, Eva Plays Dead may be a good match.
