In my garden: May's daily songs

I didn't have any clear ideas for songs for Asian-American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, though I did do daily articles for it.

I had been thinking about doing a month themed with songs about flowers and fruits and vegetables for a while, and that's what I decided on.

Does it reflect my gardening hopes well? Not particularly. There are things in there that I would not grow. A lot of them are wild or they tend to grow in different climates.

It was still fun looking, and I found new songs from familiar artists.

I will also add that you can easily do a month of just "rose" songs. My desire to not be too repetitive meant I only did three: "Monarchy of Roses", "Kiss From A Rose", and "Every Rose Has Its Thorn".

"Monarcy of Roses" was one of my favorite new ones, along with "(Nothing But) Flowers". 

There were still repeats. I have definitely used "Build Me Up Buttercup" and "Love Grows (Where My Rosemary Grows)" before. I think I have used "Green Onions" at least twice before, and I will surely use it again. I love those funky onions.

I hope to be planting soon.
