Band review: Puppet Rebellion

Actually, Puppet Rebellion does not follow me, but two of its members do, so good enough. It got me listening, and I like them! Still, the connection did essentially happen through Twitter. (And thanks Chris and Jim.)
Puppet Rebellion is a five member indie band from Manchester. In describing them as "Indie", I take that off of their web page, but it is not the most useful of labels, as many indie bands are overly intellectual and precious without any heart. That is not the case here. Puppet Rebellion plays with passion and intensity about honesty and making it through life.
There does not seem to be a way to purchase any music now, but you can listen to some good tunes on Soundcloud. They don't have their own Youtube channel, but fans have posted live footage from a few performances, and it's pretty fun to watch. That also gives you a chance at some extra song titles, like "Green-Eyed Monster".
And really, if I counted correctly, there are just five videos and three songs (four tracks, because there is a second version of "The Greatest Lie Ever Told"), so there is not a lot to work with perhaps, but at the same time, there is no reason not to take a few minutes and listen to the full Soundcloud offering
That being said, I do also recommend checking out the blog on their web site. They write thoughtfully and intelligently about music. Actually, Soundcloud is embedded in the web site, so puppetrebellion.com is the most logical starting place.
This is an endorsement. Check them out.
