Fox
& Cats is a rock duo from Houston. Despite only having
two people, they nonetheless achieve a full sound, possibly with more emphasis
on rhythm.
"Write
It Off" was my favorite, with its strong percussion and clean sound. Other
tracks remind me more of Jane's Addiction and The Black Crowes, kind of,
possibly because singer Josh Willems usually sounds a little more angsty.
Drummer
Nicole Wiggington does not stick to hitting just drum heads and cymbals, and
sometimes the clicks fill out the sound much better than regular taps and rolls
would, I think showing a good instinct for where the music should go.
Their
EP This is Your Brain on Love is currently available on Bandcamp, but a
full-length release and touring is in the works.
